• A PRRS vs SARI Inspector
  • A PRRS vs SARI Inspector

To comply with HSE ‘Warehouse and Storage Guidelines’ a weekly or monthly “in-house” inspection must be conducted by the Person Responsible for Racking Safety (PRRS).  This individual must have completed a SEMA rack awareness course to successfully carry out regular ground level inspections.

The PRRS may be an operations manager, health and safety manager, warehouse manager or an individually trained employee.

Once the person has complete a rack awareness course, they will be issued with a certificate like the one below

Having a PRRS within your organisation is a vital part of good working practices within your warehouse environment and also to comply with HSE legislation.

To complete the inspection process, all companies must ensure that they have an 'expert' inspection carried out.  SEMA Approved Racking Inspectors are the only HSE recognised, qualified inspectors capable of carrying out a thorough and competent inspection of your pallet racking system.

Once someone has undertaken an official SEMA accredited inspector course, they will be awarded with the following certificate.

All qualified SEMA inspectors will have a SARI certificate, and will also display the official approved inspector logo
